• Identify the main concerns of social science disciplines
• Understand qualitative and quantitative models within the social sciences/li>
• To learn to apply the methods and theories of social sciences to contemporary issues
• To understand the basic concepts and the major concerns of sociology.
• To identify the nature and characteristics of social processes
• To understand the intellectual and philosophical foundations of Sociological theories and contributions of Classical theorists to Sociology.
• To provide an understanding of fundamentals of social research
• To discuss the different forms of research and its applications
