It is from the need of the hour, that Irshadiya envisages that each student has to be familiarized with alternative epistemological traditions than homogeneous and linear way of knowledge. In order to crystallize this educational vision, the academic council has designed a curriculum of blending university studies with Islamic studies and discourses. This motto makes our syllabus really distinctive. It prepares students for appearing public examinations of different boards and universities, namely Higher Secondary Board of Education, Government of Kerala and University of Calicut. On the other hand, the alternative or parallel knowledge especially located in Islamic epistemological tradition, will enhance the student to acquire and shape the fundamental forces of knowledge and able him/her to comprehend various angles of subjects concerned.
Integrated Learning Approach (ILA)
Integrated learning approach is the developing method of integration of different disciplines for getting the deep insight about single topic and also a scientific method to rule out dilemma of educational dualism and its practical issues. An undergraduate commerce candidate will be given Islamic thoughts on finance, insurance, banking etc English candidate on other hand will have integrated subjects as aesthetic sense of Quran, Islamic philosophy and Islamic literature. Psychology students will be coming across the ideals of psychology under Islamic perspective. Similar way will be adopted in different disciplines with very scientific and dynamic manner. Precisely, it involves bringing together traditionally separate subjects so that students can grasp a more authentic understanding.
